Violet Aguilar has arrived!!

Violet was born today, January 28th at 9:13 AM and she weighed at 6.5 lbs and she is 19.5 inches long at Christus St. Catherine Hospital by Dr. Geoff Zimmerman. She is soo adorable and such a calm little lady:)

We arrived at the hospital yesterday at about 7:30 becuase I was having contractions about every 2-3 minutes at around 5:56 pm. We then called the dr who told us to head to the hospital.

So we headed to Christus St. Catherine (such an awesome hosiptal!!!) and they checked me in I they checked my cervix and said I was already 5 cm dilated so I had to stay:)

Virgil was with me and my mom came a few minutes later since we asked The Smiths (THANK YOU!!!!!) if they could watch Scarlett while my mom was up there:)

I started feeling lots of contractions at about every 3 minutes and they seemed to stretch. I asked V to get the nurse for the epidural..I kept asking and he finally showed up at 10:30ish. He proceeded with the epidural which V asked the dr. f he could see the needle...it was long, lol!! The gave me the epidural and only my right leg was getting numb. I still felt the contractions on my left so I had to lay on my left for them to administer more drug. It worked very quickly. The nurse then checked my cervix and felt that it was 6 cm now. I then felt nothing from the waist down...it was numb and i could wiggle my toes only. It was like this the entire night. They then gave me a yellow purse which was my pee bag since I was not able to get up anymore.

We tried sleeping through the night and at about 8ish in the morning my new nurse checked my cervix and said I was fully dilated. So the nurse called me dr, we then called my inlaws and my mom. I wanted my mom to be in the room since shewas not able to make it to Scarletts.

While they were enroute to the hospital, my dr. arrived and they started preparing and he popped my water bag. My mom arrived in the room at 9ish and everything proceeded very quickly. I did about 10 pushes max and pop, Violet arrived. She cried and I got to hold for a few, then the nursery took her and cleaned up. A few minutes later after the room cleared, my inlaws and Scarlett came in to see her and Scarlett was amazed and gave lots of kisses.

Prenatal Visit: 37 weeks

Yesterday, January 27th I had my 37th week dr. appt. At the appt, we heard Violets heartbeat which was great like always and I was measuring 36 weeks. I also weighed 127 which I lost 2 lbs in 1 week but the nurse said that was normal. Well, my dr. went head and checked my cervix and streatched my membranes and I measure 3.5 cm. We were thrilled becuase we felt it was gonna happen yesterday.

So I got home and my mom and Scarlett headed to KMM, afterwards to Walmart. We came back home for Scarletts nap.

Then V suggested the treadmill so I did that and then I went to finish up a maternity photo shoot with Eliza from Glimpse of Soul Photography - you MUST see her work and book her!! in Old Katy which I did more walking but I had lots of fun!!! Thank you Eliza for a fun shoot!!

This was shot a little after 4 pm, got home at 5 and contractions started kicking in..it was close call:)

Scarlett is in her BIG GIRL Bed!

We are still finalizing her room furniture but her bed was put together and I finally found linens I like for her room. So we decided tonight was the big night for her to start sleeping in her BIG GIRL room. As I was removing her clothing from her orginal room to the other it was sad to see. The room became empty in 5 minutes and it finally sunked in that she will no longer be sleeping in a crib:( She was excited for her BIG GIRL room but once we closed that door and I opened her now empty nursery, I just broke down in tears as I write I 'm tearing up. She is growing up so fast!!! And I don't want her to...it makes me realize she is becoming this beautiful young lady with a mind on of her own. Her room has become this beautiful place for her, just like the princess she is:)

Prenatal visit: 36 weeks

Our visit was good! We heard her heartbeat and she sounds great and I'm currently measuring 35 weeks but the dr. says its o.k. I didn't gain a pound which was odd since I know have been eating up a storm lately, lol! I also was informed I have been having contrations, I asked the dr. what these pains were on my side of the tummy and thats what they were. We asked what we can do to entice delivery since I MUST have this child while my mom is down. I can't wait for her to be here, it'll be here 1st grandchild to see be delivered:)

We also got Scarlett her 1st booster seat and she looked so adorable at the dinner table. Such a BIG Girl!!!

Violet's Baby Shower!

Yesterday, Saturday, January 17th our very close friends threw a coed shower for our upcoming daughter, Violet, who is due February 14th. We HAD LOTS of fun!! Brissa did a great job from decorating, organizing and getting the yummy cake for Violets Shower. We played some fun games, the fellas even played a game which was funny and even the kids had a great time. Food was really yummy but I really enjoyed all the company we had. It was great catching up and having lots of good laughs the entire time with everyone. Thank you Smith's for putting this together for us, like I said before your not just close friends but family and you guys are much appreciated:)

Our little Picasso...

On Saturday, I let Scarlett watercolor paint for the first and for telling her each day "we will do it tomorrow" (things always came up). She did really well, she loved putting her paintbrush in the water and I'm trying to get her to understand that afterwards you have to dab to dab the paint:) She had lots of fun and she looked so adorbale in her apron and she needs is the french artist hat, lol!

We have been continueing praticing numbers, shapes and colors and she has pretty much has that narrowed down. But practice makes perfect! We have started practicing our letters again and she can go up to the letter L so we are half way threw with the alphabet, YEAH!!

Scarlett started 2 and 3 word phrases!

She said her first 3 word phrase on Thursday, Jan. 1st and it was "Rodeny at home". He was one of my hubby's closest friends. He was over on New Years Eve and played with Scarlett...helping with fireworks.

She the said her first 4 word phrase today, I was placing the salmon for dinner onto the grill and she told me while she was inside "momma, I see you" I could not believe it:( She is growing up way too fast and its sad to see this right now because I only have a few weeks till her little sister arrives.

I'm looking at her lately and realizing that my baby girl is so precious. My mission until her sissy arrives is to spend as much time with her has possible, doing alot more activities with her since my enjoy is threw the roof right now....WAAAHHH!!

Happy New Year 2009!

We had a fun New Years Eve, several of our closest friends came by to help celebrate 2009! We had lots to eat and of course EVERYONE else had drinks besides me, LOL! But the most important was that Scarlett had a blast and SHE DID!!! She wanted to help out with every firecracker available, she was fearless. She did several poppies and a few sparklers but that was quickly banned when our friends daughter, Sienna, almost caught on fire. We felt so bad but she is a o.k.:)

It was an exciting and funny evening and by 11ish our neighbors popped these amazing firecrackers, it was great to see them that close:)

Of course, V and I gave our midnight kiss and wished great health and happiness for our family in 2009:) Glad to see 08 GONE!!

We wish the same for the rest of our family and friends:)
