Another ultrasound...

Went in for my 4th ultrasound on Dec. 16th and everything went well. Got the call from my dr. this morning and they said my cervix is 3.3 which is good, no cause for preterm birth..YEAH!! And Violet weighs 4lbs!! So overall she looks wonderful.

Prenatal check up!

Today was my 2 week prenatal checkup and it went well:) FINALLY!! We heard Violets heartbeat and it was great and I'm measuring right at 31 weeks. I'm feeling good but I do get a little tired when I stand too long or walk too long as well. I gained 2 lbs so I'm at 127...not liking it, V was just laughing at me when I was doing some subtracting on our way home:) Scarlett was great , she walks in there owning the place. She is soo cute!!! While I laid for the nurse to measure me she says "Iu" which means "love you", it was adorable!!

Its Party Time! Scarletts 2nd Birthday Party..

was a blast! She had ALOT of fun playing with her cousins (they helped alot) and her friends:) Her grandparents, aunts and our close friends where there also to help celebrate her BIG 2! She bounced, did the rings and bar, jumped in the foam pit and the climbed the great BIG mountian and she had a such a good time. She also ate about 3 pizzas which was a total shock and ate 2 peices of cake WITH frosting! She loved it that cake so much that when I tried to remove it to help clean, she yelled at me. We then went back to the house and a few friends joined us and helped scarlett open her gifts, she was SOOO excited of all her Elmo gifts and the rest of her gifts. She and Sebastian enjoyed playing with the rest of the toys until it was Scarletts bedtime. I can't believe our little girl is about to be 2, she will always be our baby or as daddy would say his "little princess" FOREVER!!

KLP Christmas party!

The KLP's had a christmas party for the group and it was alot of fun!!! We got there and got settled and headed to the bouncies. Scarlett had a blast!!! And she really enjoyed seeing all her friends again..it had been since late Nov. since she had seen them. She was so happy to bounce and she enjoyed the food to, it was very yummy!!! I went for seconds of course. Scarlett also got a goody bag and go to make a craft BUT she wasn't too interested in it. Over all she had lots of fun!!

Dec. 2nd: ultrasound and 2 week visit for Violet

Just wanted to let you know what happened at my appts yesterday with my dr. and the ultrasound. Its great news!! At the ultrasound we got to see her again and she sure looks more and more like Scarlett, we saw every body part and of course V had to ask if we are still having a girl...YES we are, LOL! She also took shots of my cervix which from last Monday has maintained its size, it has not moved:)

Then I was off to my drs. and he said my belly and her heartbeat sound great! He was happy with my cervix but he wants to do another at my next appt. just to be reassured nothing has changed. He also told me to continue "taking it really easy", he did not say BEDREST, which I was happy about. But he did say to refrain from over doing it on household chores and walking (he said walking around the mall is a NO, NO). He said the bleeding was casued by my cervix which is not common but as long as it stabilizes until closer the due date, I shouldn't have another episode. So I was really happy with the visit and happy that V heard it from the dr as well.

Another scare...Mon. Nov. 24th...

On Monday, November 24th, I was sitting down around 7:30ish and doing my nightly ritual (tv, snack and my laptop on the couch) well, I had to go pee and so I went. As I was done and looked down to the toilet I saw blood again but with a few blood clots. We called a close friend of ours to watch Scarlett and we went straight to the ER again. They did the same things as our 1st visit but this time they told me Violet weighs 2 lbs, I'm 1cm dilated, I had contractioons for the first 10 mins after I got hooked up to the machine and that I need to take it really easy until my next Dr. visit on Tuesday, Dec 2nd. And once I arrived to pee again, no blood came about. I was then let go to go home again.

I still have my drs. apprt and ultrasound appt on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd as schedule and when I do see my dr. I know I'll be very adament in wanting an answer for these bleedings.

I have been taking it really easy which is hard for me becuase with the holidays and Scarletts birthday around the corner, I feel I have alot to do. My hubby has stepped up in helping with everything which is great but its hard to sit on a couch and not be able to fully entertain Scarlett. But right now my focus is on Violet and my body and I hope we don't have another ER episode or anything else. I have 8 more weeks to go for the safe zone, I'm currently 29 weeks.

Sunday of Fun!

Scarlett and dada went ahead and bathed Zues and Coco and their kennels for Thanksgiving since we are hosting. It was so cute cause she was really getting them cleaned and being helpful too:) We also attended Chloes 4th birthday, her parents are close family friends of ours, and it was at Rocket City. She had alot of fun, playing with the games and winning tickets. She also enjoyed the cake:) We also had a great time catching up with everyone that attended.

Stuff around the house!

O.k., I just want to mention that I'm amazed of how much baby items and stuff I have around the house! My hubby painted Scarletts room yesterday and so all the baby items were in there and so moved them into the playroom...all of it took the whole area! I also was cleaning the guest room and made a pile of all the items I plan to sell at my garage sale this spring (there is a ton) and placing some of the baby items in that room (these items I won't use for a good while). I just hope my mom can get around it, LOL! I started taking all the baby items apart of what I need to wash and cleaned everything else.

I think I'm nesting becuase this house seems to filled with old, unneccesary items and I'm tossing or putting away. I'm anxious to pull out all the baby clothes from Scarlett and see what needs to rewashed or sold. And ready to get the nursery ready for Violet. We went looking for furniture for Scarletts room today, we just hit 2 stores, and let me say I was dissapointed of what they had. We are looking for white bunk beds but it seems they only have the oak or light oak bunk beds:( I plan to make some calls on Monday to several stores instead of going to them (they are so far from us) and see if they have what we are looking for. Scarlett did enjoy the beds so she will do great in her BIG girl bed:) So that is pretty much what is going on around here...PREPARING!!!

7th Month Mark...

I'm 7 months or 27 weeks! I have been feeling much better since we had our scare last Saturday. I have catched up on sleep and been napping when Scarlett naps. Virgil has also stepped up big time in helping me out with Scarlett and around the house and I'm so appreciative. I'm so use to doing everything and not asking for help becuase thats me...I love being able to do so many things so it was hard for me to let him be in charge. But its all for Violet:) It has taken me several days to accomplish things but thats o.k. Scarlett enjoys talking, kissing and hugging Violet everyday...she felt her move the other day and she was amazed, her face lit up so quickly!

Change of baby's name - LAST ONE!

Sorry for the lateness on this BUT we have changed the name...It'll be VIOLET!!! After announcing the first name, I got alot of friends and family saying ELENA or ELAINA, however you spell it, instead of HELENA. I felt I was correcting everyone left and right so I told V, we have to change it. He laughed at me cause I thought he would be the one changing the name first but it was me:( So we will have 2 daughter, Scarlett and Violet! And we love it!
