7th month Prenatal Checkup!

Over the weekend, we had to rush to the emergency room..long story short the baby is fine and I'm fine as well, they just told me to lay off my feet for a few days. Today I went for my 7 month checkup and told the dr. what happened and he said that the baby is fine that the cause for the emergency was due to me. Nothing that I did wrong but just my body developing differently, he also said that bloody is not usual either. We heard the heartbeat and she sound very healthy. I'm still at 122 lbs, didn't gain anything but next visit may be different. He did tell me not to be lifting Scarlett(27 lbs) or anything to heavy. He did make a call to see the results from my ultrasound and he told us that it looks like my cervix is short which may cause preterm birth. He ordered another ultrasound before my next visit on Dec. 2nd so I'm sending a little prayer to the man upstairs that my ultrasound is a positive! Crossing my fingers:)

Oh! On the way to the drs. we have to pass Christus St. Catherine Hospital and Scarlett was like "momma, momma", after Saturday's emergency she remembered that place. We were so surprised.

1st Maternity Photo Shoot!

Yesterday afternoon I met with Eliza, such a sweet person, a photographer for Glimpse of Soul Photography, to do my first maternity shoot! I was really excited since I wanted to do this with Scarlett so badly but couldn't so I had to make sure I did it this time around. We met in old Katy and we did a few shots at the park, she wanted a more earthy feel which was great but I had Scarlett with me so the minute Eliza started taking shots of me, Scarlett was crying histerically. My poor baby, she probably thought this women was hurting mommy..she looks so cute in her tears, my poor baby:( She held on to me like a monkey!

Well, the clouds were coming quickly so we had to cut the shoot short. I will be having another one soon to take urban shots which I'm so excited. Here is a link to her blog, which she posted a few of them so far...

We finally have a name for our baby girl...

and its HELENA!!! After a month in looking at baby books and baby name websites we decided on Helena. We are so happy to finally have a name for her instead of "the baby". It was very difficult becuase we had restrictions on the name...can't make a nickname out of it, very uncommon and lastly that we both like.

Dewberry Farms and more...

Friday, November 7th we decided to head to dada's work for a visit and he was so happy to see Scarlett as well as abuelo:) She had fun on abuelo's lawnmower:) We also headed to Dewberry's with the KLP's and it was alot of fun! It was pretty windy but it was a perfect day, she played with her friends for abit, we rode the hayride(she was in awww!) and she went to pick out a baby pumpkin. Before we left she had to get on the horsey:) We then headed back to dada's for more time with him and she had a great lunch with him. It was a great Friday!!!

On Saturday, Scarlett took her first steps by herself down the stairs!!! She held onto the wall but went down by herself, I couldn't believe it!! Such a big girl!

On Sunday we went to a birthday party for one of our friends and it was a train theme. They had a mini train which took the kids around the neighborhood and let me say Scarlett had a blast!!! She didn't want to get off, so we went for round 2!! She really had lots of fun at the party!!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treating was a blast for us!!! I helped Scarlett carve her 1st pumpkin and she enjoyed it. I let her take all the seeds out for as well so we can get the candle in. Then my inlaws came by to hang out with Scarlett so we chilled in garage for abit until 7:00 and we were off for candy:) We went to about 5 houses for candies and it was too adorable seeing her knock knock at the door for treats. She saw me do it at the 1st house and got the hang of it the next houses. They would give her some treats and told to say Thank you which was so cute in her little voice and then she said "BYE". It melted me and my hubbys heart! We stopped by at my husbands best friend's house and the minute that door opened and saw there movable dracula, she jetted out so fast that she held onto a leg of a stranger. I felt so bad...we honestly didn't think she would be scared:( We then headed back since it was almost bedtime and when we got home to help pass the candies, she saw Jason the cotume and she FREAKED!!! Poor thing, I swear what happened to the cute ghost or pumpkin head?!?! After that we put her to bed and V and I hanged out the rest of the night passing put candies which was pretty fun especially when the teenagers came;) It was a GREAT HALLOWEEN!!!!






We started out with breakfast and Scarlett watched several Halloween cartoons on Disney. Then we got ready to go to a close friends Halloween Party, Scarlett is dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz!! She looks soooo adorable!! We got to the party were Ms. Monique took pictures of each child, we ate and she played with her friends. Then we got ready to do a scavenger hunt and she looks so cute getting candy all the halloweenish fun toys. She wasn't happy when I took all the candy she had in her bag (she is not allowed to have any), she was trying so hard to open them and I was like "no way Ms. Dorothy" lol! We then TRIED to get a group photo but that was nearly impossible but doable:) We then made a footprint ghost craft to take home, she wasn't thrilled I was painting her foot, lol! Overall we had a great and fun time and all the kids look great in there costumes. Now we can't wait for her to go door to door tonight since it will be her 1st!!!!

Graduation Day!

Today was Scarlett's last day of her 9 week ABC & 123 class within the KLP's. She graduated with a passing grade;)lol! She really loved the coloring they did, learning the letters and number by stickers or some kind of craft. :( :( Sad day!!

Our Halloween Playdate...

We had some KLP moms and kiddos come over for a Halloween Playdate and it was a full house:) Everyone had a good time, enjoyed the food and had fun making there handprinted ghost or spider to take home for a keepsake.

Busy past weekend!

We had one busy past weekend! Scarlett and I attended a Sienna's 2nd birthday and she had a blast:) She colored, played in the Dora house and loved the toddler bouncy. Oh! and she had to have some cake cause that is what she was asking for when we sang. Then we were off to Monica's Housewarming Party and we had a great time...we really enjoyed there new home and see Ms. Monica and Pete:) On Sunday, I did catch Scarlett getting my makeup bag while I was making breakfast soo move over Cindy Crawford...Scarlett is the SUPERMODEL!! lol!! she look so cute putting on blush. Later that evening, she helped me sweep the dogs food...she is momma's little helper:)

1st Pumpkin Patch!

Today we went to St. Peters Pumpkin Patch for Scarletts first ever pumpkin pick:) She loved it!! We took pictures with the scarecrow and on the hay and of course with dada:) She was walking around AMAZED of all the pumpkins. She calls them "kika". We plan to make this a tradition year after year:)
